Wierd.

Okay, so tomorrow at 4:00 was supposed to be my flight to Canada. 2 week stay. I spent most of the day at friends houses, doing stuffs, you know, so its 8:00 and I wanted to get home so I can play my last CS:S game in 2 weeks. But:
Traffic
Low Balance Ez-pass card
Downpour while at CVS
Unclogging the drain
Made me get home at 10:25. 10:25! So I give up trying to get in a game of CS:S, I go up, then I get a email from the airline that our flight was canceled from the rain.
Should I be happy? Or sad?

No SVs. No IF. But Mr. Jack Thompson. You might be asking, “Who is mullet is Jack Thompson????”. You may know him as that jackass who thinks every videogame that can be turned into some nude or kill fest is bad. Take Sims 2 for example. The game, Sims 2, is non violent in everyway possible. Wrong. A user created mod allows to take off the censor blurring whenever a Sim in in the toilet, taking a shower, etc. So he comes over, says “omg this game is bad take off the shelves”. It was a USER CREATED MOD. It was probably made by the creator for viewing. Even if it isn’t, it was NEVER INTENDED FOR VIEWING. EVER.
Another example, Grand Theft Auto. I can’t truthfully say it is non-violent and non-graphic, (because it isn’t), but the Hot Coffee Mod comes along, and BAM, AO rating. Now Rockstar DID intend to have a Sex game in there, but was locked and never intended for viewing. NEVER. A mere 3rd party code unlocked it, and it doesn’t mean every GTA copy out there is AO.
Truthfully, I’m sick of him trying to find a scapegoat for money and fame.
Example:

A fourteen-year-old kid sleepwalks, and stabs his grandmother to death with a butcher knife. Absolutely horrible. According to Jack Thompson it has nothing to do with noctambulism, and everything to do with the fact that the child played Diablo earlier that day.

(Taken off CAD/Google)
It all goes like this. Minor wants violent videogame. PARENT gets videogame, completely bypass age limits. Kid plays game, then suddenly, something happens that involves the kid in a legal struggle. Who are they going to blame? The kid? Sure. But the cause? TV? Bad Parenting? Bad Influences? Easiest answer/scapegoat available; the videogame.
News flash! Videogames don’t cause violence. The criminal does. So unless you are a cop, Mr. Thompson, I suggest you quit that easy earned senate position and rethink your ideas.

Sleep!

Oh, god, time zones are so confusing. Let me see if I can get it together….
As none of you know (except a few in the IRC room), I went to Yellowstone, the surrounding states, and Canada this week. It was…. unconfortable, since we stayed in motels every night and most of the time I was sitting in a uncomfortable chair in a car. We got to Salt Lake city, toured the area, especially Temple Square, drove to Cheyenne (Relatives), Denver (Tours), and finally Britsh Columbia (Canada), where I was born. :P We stayed there for a while (a day or 2) and drove back to Salt Lake (7 hours AT LEAST) and had to wait 4 hours until our flight. The plane was bigger than the one we went there (more leg space, hurray) and I dozed off until the PA rang that we were landing. We spent another hour waiting for luggage, getting a cab, then finally driving home, were I napped for a hour or 2.

Bleh.
