All in one Rant
Ok, this rant is about Support Volunteers. And those people who answer questions incorrectly in the attempt to gain post count.
My first question to them: Why?
Why is Post Count so important? Its a number, people. A plain, stupid, number that increases after you post. Ok, so what? It’s a number. These people who delibrately spam up the forums to get a high post count are idiots. Unless you are 13 or above and have some sort of learning or mental disablity, you are what I consider underage. For what I know kids who are underage do these things. They want to be in front of the line. They want to be first. So why do they want a high post count? Its stupid.
If it was up to me, all post count will be elimated. No post count increases anywhere in the forum. This move will choke out all those spammers so they can go to proboards and some other crappy forum hoster.
Or, all support topics in the General Support forum will be only answered by a team of members who know what they are doing. If you want support, you can post. Otherwise, there will be a big fat topic pinned that will say “READ OR BE BANNED”. Violators who answer topics and they are not on the team will be suspended for 2 weeks.
Of course, this is somewhat a worse case senario. Hopefully they will just leave. And never to return.
Double Answers- Its pure crap. Mostly from a rush of “Support Volunteers” who want a boost in post count. I mean, don’t you look at the people viewing this topic? I do. Mostly because Seth told me to do so, but its also because I don’t want to be warned for some whacko “Support Volunteer”, jump out of nowhere, and post the exact thing I do just reworded. If I had to solve this problem, I would set up a new Support Group that would take care of the general support forum. They would be the only people to post in the forum, other than people who want help. There would be a topic with the title: READ OR BE BANNED (in red) pinned, and it would tell all members to not post in the forum unless they wanted help only. All violators will be suspended for 2 weeks. There would be constant IM conversation between them, so they won’t double answer in one topic. And all Support Volunteers should be automatically restricted.
Me and my radical ideas.
Now they have combined. Truthfully, a small part of me wants IF boards to go paid, so all those underage people and spammers could just go away.
But I don’t want it to end up like that. That means I have to stand with the spam and bad grammar, etc.
They’ve combined like:
“i don’t no how 2 chage it but go to the acp there should be a opion for it”
*Logik throws brick at them
Theres also a increase in Support Volunteers, which are technally idiots that just want to look professional.
It also has come to my attention that many IF boards are closing due to underage admins, and their usernames match many in the support board.
I think all bad spellers should be deleted as underage.
Hopefully you can tell that these where from my old blog.
The morale: Use Correct Grammar and don’t spam.

Yep Good sayings for a Signature

Mmm, I know. I’ve noticed a disturbing increase in the number of ’support volunteers’ in the support forums recently -_-
Trust me, I hate them. And i’m always watching out for them.
Come to think of it, if you ever see any ’support volunteer’ behaviour, feel free to PM me about it. I’ll be glad to help sort it out, even something as collecting links to lots of posts where people have done the stupid things like racing to answer questions etc., is helpful

I agree about the Support Team, not sure about completely eliminating post count.
